Maaike and Emil's magazine-worthy bathroom

Step into Maaike and Emil's bathroom, where every shower feels like you've landed in a home magazine. Together with their two children and cats, they live in a cozy terraced house, but their old, cramped bathroom no longer met their needs. Space was limited, the bath was unused and the hectic mornings with the family made it clear that it was time for a change.

Lack of space in the bathroom

As a family of four, the morning routine in the bathroom was always hectic. Their old bathroom had a bathtub that took up a lot of space, but was hardly used. As a result, they lacked much-needed space. Moreover, the bathroom was old, which causes the bathroom to lose its shine at some point. Which only increased the need for a renovation.

Visiting Grando

Emil's mother had previously bought her bathroom from Grando and was very satisfied with the service and installation. This inspired Maaike and Emil to take a look at Grando, although they initially did not plan to buy a new bathroom right away. She wanted to get inspiration for when the bathroom would be built. But upon entering the showroom, they immediately fell in love with a setup.

From grey to colourful

Maurice, the salesman at Grando Hoogvliet, showed them new tiles that had just come from the fair. Maaike and Emil immediately fell in love with a unique color combination that immediately gave them a 'wow' feeling. The calm grays they had in mind were soon dwarfed by the sparkling, contemporary colors they saw. "Gray was so gray," Maaike says laughing. "These new colours gave the bathroom so much more character."

A spacious and stylish bathroom

The old bathroom was completely replaced. The bath made way for a spacious shower, which immediately created more space. The large furniture now offers enough space for several family members to use the bathroom at the same time. The large tiles and the beautiful blue color provide a real 'wow' factor. Maaike and Emil opted for copper taps instead of chrome at the last minute, which fits perfectly with the tiles and washbasins. The niches in the shower are not only practical, but also stylish, so that all soap can be neatly stored.

Showering like in a magazine

Maaike says enthusiastically: "Every time I step into the bathroom, it feels like I'm showering in a magazine. I can't express enough how happy I am with our beautiful, hip bathroom." The space they have now makes a world of difference. In addition to the bathroom, they also decided to adapt the toilet on the upper floor. Here they chose to reverse the colors, so that the whole is cohesive, yet different.

Maaike and Emil would definitely recommend Grando. "When the time comes, we will definitely visit Grando for our kitchen too!"
